Wheel Washers – Rollers

Description

The mistral Roller Models are compact wheel wash systems for removing heavy soiling from vehicle tyres and are suitable for both mobile and permanent applications. The systems include automatic powered rollers and a recycling tank with integrated scraper conveyor for automatic sludge removal.

The uncomplicated and quick installation of the 2-Roller System makes it especially suitable for short term applications. Here, each axle is washed individually giving a maximum throughput of 15 trucks per hour. With Multi-Roller Systems, 2 or more axles can be washed simultaneously to give an increased maximum vehicle throughput per hour.

Function

Through the combination of rotating wheels and a spray-nozzle system, soiling is washed out of the tyre profiles and into the systems’ recycling tank where the sludge is automatically evacuated. A specially developed nozzle system ensures for an efficient water spray profile for targeted cleaning of the tire profiles plus outer and inner wheel surfaces. The number of tyre revolutions can be adjusted via a wash timer and is dependent on the level of soiling intensity.

The waste sediment is automatically evacuated via the scraper conveyor and the water is circulated for reuse in the wash system. The water level in the tank is automatically regulated through a float valve. The use of a flocculent greatly increases and optimizes the sedimentation process and the flocculent is fed via an automatic dosing unit which is included in our standard scope of delivery.

Personnel

The Roller Systems have a totally automatic operation. Customers’ personnel need only to periodically check and control the nozzles and conveyor system plus ensure a sufficient water supply to the recycling tank. A representative of mistral will instruct the customers’ personnel on routine checks and cleaning of the system during commissioning and handover.

Preparation for installation

The customer is responsible for preparing a pit with a concrete or compacted gravel base plus water and electrical power supplies in accordance with the mistral installation guideline drawing.

Guarantee

The complete System carries a standard manufacturer’s guarantee of 24 months effective from the date of installation. mistral guarantees a permanent supply of spare parts and an established after-sales service.
